This is false. First off the source that you used is not considered to be credible due to grammar mistakes, the use of a meme, and coming from X. Harris did in fact concede on Wednesday, November 6th, 2024, the day after the election. AP News, a source known to have little bias, said, “Before her speech, Harris called Trump to congratulate him on his victory. She told the crowd that ‘we will engage in a peaceful transfer of power.’” The claim that she has disappeared is also false. According to BBC News, a trusted source, writes “Exactly two months after her election loss to Donald Trump, Vice-President Kamala Harris will preside over the certification of her own defeat.” She did this very thing on Monday, January 6th, 2025. She was seen many times before this as well. She just kept a lower profile.

The author of this claim seems to have missed the very public concession speech that Kamala Harris gave on November 7. Here is a link to a Times transcript of her concession. Furthermore, Harris has not disappeared since losing the election. In fact, she's delivering a speech in Maryland on Tuesday to urge people to stay civically engaged.

You did a good job supporting your claim with the Times manuscript, however when fact checking you should make sure you get all your information correct. Her concession speech was on the 6th of November not the 7th.

This claim is false. Kamala Harris did not disappear after losing the election, she simply kept more low profile. The only report that somewhat fuels this claim is Fox. A news outlet that is known to have heavy right tendencies making it unreliable. Even then, while Fox's headline says she disappeared, throughout their article, they never explicitly say she vanished. They talk about her vacation and time off after a long campaign. The claim is also full of pro-Trump hashtags and extremely foul language. Indicating an exaggerated statement and a very uneducated one as well. Furthermore, Harris recently delivered a speech on November 7th and is set to speak again in Maryland this upcoming Tuesday (12/17/24). Lastly, analyzing the original post and the meme they attached below is a major indicator that their claim is based on a personal opinion or meant to be misleading.

This is a good fact-check and you did a great job at refuting the claim. Especially on the fact that the claim is full of pro-trump hashtags because that already has bias in the claim. Also adding a specific date in which harris was active is really good. Overall, such a good claim keep it up!

Kamala Harris delivered a public concession speech on the afternoon of Wednesday, November 6. In her speech, Vice President Harris said "The outcome of this election is not what we wanted, not what we fought for, not what we voted for." She added, "I spoke with President-elect Trump and congratulated him on his victory." While Harris has recently canceled a planned visit to California, she remains working in the White House as the Vice President under the Biden Administration. This claim is not true.

Time Magazine released a transcript of the speech: https://time.com/7173617/kamala-harris-concession-speech-full-transcript/

Newsweek reported on her canceled visit to California: https://www.newsweek.com/kamala-harris-cancels-california-trip-white-house-2004016

You did a great job proving that this claim was false with evidence from trusted sources. When fact checking, I think it helps to give quotes that prove the fact wrong and you did just that.

This statement is false. Not only, as others have mentioned, this came from the social media app "X" and didn't come from a credible source. Attaching a meme is unprofessional and takes away credibility. Additionally, there is no source provided to back up this person's claim. After the 2024 presidential election, Vice President Kamala Harris publicly conceded to President-elect Donald Trump. She delivered her speech on November 6, 2024, acknowledging the election results and urging her supporters to remain hopeful and engaged.

Furthermore, the user states that Harris left without saying thanks. This is false as Harris gave speeches about hope and thanking the Democratic party for supporting her. While doing this, Harris maintained her public duties, including presiding over the certification of the electoral votes in Congress on January 6, 2025. Harris stated, “Today, at the United States Capitol, I will perform my constitutional duty as vice president of the United States to certify the results of the 2024 election.”

The idea that Vice President Kamala Harris disappeared after the election and didn't give in to Trump is not true. Harris gave a speech at Howard University on November 6, 2024, in which he accepted the results of the election and emphasized how important it was for power to be transferred peacefully. Harris said in her speech, "I have spoken with President-elect Trump and congratulated him on his victory." She told people who supported her to keep fighting for freedom and not give up because of the election results. Furthermore, Harris continued to be visible in public after the election. As required by the Constitution, she oversaw the official confirmation of Donald Trump's win in the election for Congress. So, the claim that Harris fled after the election and didn't concede is not true. You can watch the video below to see her whole speech: https://time.com/7173617/kamala-harris-concession-speech-full-transcript/
