Pete Hegseth, Trump’s nominee for Defense Secretary, stated that he was admitted to West Point Military Academy but did not attend. Propublica attempted to fact check this and explained what happened in the Bluesky thread that this article refers to. This claim calls it a “B.S. lecture” which is not only heavily biased language, but incorrect, as there is no reason to believe the information shared by the journalist is false. The article linked, published on “twitchy.com” uses a meme as its cover photo as well as being full of highly biased language, unfounded claims, and opinions passed off as universal truths.
