Even in the first month of COVID-19 vaccines, the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System found that out of over 13 million doses, there were only a total of 113 deaths which were also found to not be correlated to the vaccine. This vaccine has saved 14.4 million peoples lives. The use of masks also decreased people chances of getting COVID-19 by over 50%.

However, I also think this claim is false/exaggerated because there’s not really a specific way to tell if the deaths they’re claiming to have happened are a direct result of the vaccines themselves. The claim that vaccines have killed more people than they helped is proven untrue by the CDC which states zero death certificates have been attributed to vaccination. The article also states that there is no association between cardiac arrest and those who are vaccinated. However, those who were infected by COVID-19 had significantly higher chances for cardiac complications rather than those who had been vaccinated. The claim that masks didn't work was also proven false in studies by Yale which found that with surgical masks distributed in villages, there was a 12% reduction in COVID symptoms, and where cloth masks were distributed there also was a 5% reduction in symptoms. Their studies also found that once masks were distributed there was a 9% decrease in infection and a decrease of 35% for those age 60+ wearing a surgical mask.

He has twelve followers and claims to be a doctor, specifically a retired anesthesiologist, Ted Noel from Florida as written on his podcast website that is linked to a few BlueSky posts https://www.spreaker.com/episode/dr-ted-noel--26110981. The organization who hosts the podcast, “Fringe Radio Network”, is not focused on any medical or educational topics but rather Bible prophecy and conspiracies. On the Florida Department of Health’s website, searching for Theodore Noel brings up a license verification page, where it shows that his medical license expired all the way back in 2014. Somewhere this user could have heard this claim is right wing media outlets like Fox News with Tucker Carlson. Science.org states that; “Carlson asserted Fauci had committed “very serious crimes” and said he “apparently engineered the single most devastating event in modern American history.” Carlson, infamous for assailing people’s looks, also called Fauci a “an even tinier version of the Dalai Lama” and a ‘Stalinist midget.’” According to News in Health (in 2022), COVID-19 vaccines were reported to be associated with only 55 deaths, with older people being predominant throughout the over 8 billion vaccinations- and even then, near half of the cases could not determine if the vaccine was the true cause of death. According to JAMA Network and Delaware.gov, masks, especially well-fitting ones, are effective against the spread of COVID-19, as they prevent droplets from spreading, and can prevent people from catching disease- they can be especially important for people who got sick easily. Wearing a multilayer mask is estimated to prevent 50-70% of particles and droplets.

In an academic paper posted by the Journal of Paediatrics and Child Health, they estimated that base on the reported number of deaths by COVID-19, the vaccine prevented 14.4 million deaths. However, it's important to note that due to the uneven distribution of vaccines in other countries, poorer populations may not had the same access to vaccines, leadings to an overall decrease in their effectiveness.
