I believe that the Muslim and Jewish people are in the right for condemning Trump for calling someone that isn't even Palestinian, but just a supporter and ally to the genocide that is going on Palestinian is racially and generally offensive. In the New York Times article below, the author listed many reasons that Trump's tone and argument addressed this in a negative and intense tone. Saying someone is a Palestinian means that their ethnicity, race or background of being Palestinian. What Donald Trump meant when he used the word "Palestinian" is saying that Schumer is only Palestinian became he sympathizes for the genocide that is happening in Gaza, and he simply a bad person. Trump calls him this also in a racial context, making Schumer a part of lower class race, that is less of person. I can strongly agree with the author of the article saying that Trump is "not evening using the word and value behind "Palestinian" is diminished", and not even used in the correct context.

You start the fact-check saying, "I believe..." but do you have any credible evidence that Jewish and Muslim groups have condemned Trump?

I noticed that your fact-check starts with 'I believe,' which makes it sound more like an opinion than a verified claim. Additionally, while you reference a New York Times article, it would strengthen your argument if you explained where the New York Times got its information. Clarifying this would make your fact-check stronger.

This fact check seems more opinion-based than fact-based. You also focus on Trump's quote instead of trying to look more deeply into the Muslim and Jewish groups's reactions to the quote. I think by doing so your fact check would be a lot more credible.

The claim that Jewish and Muslim groups condemned Donald Trump for calling Senator Chuck Schumer a "Palestinian" saying he used the term as a slur is accurate. During an Oval Office meeting on March 12, 2025, Donald Trump said "Schumer is a Palestinian as far as I'm concerned. He's become a Palestinian. He used to be Jewish. He's not Jewish anymore. He's a Palestinian". The national executive director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, Nihad Awad labeled this comment as offensive due to the indication of dehumanizing Palistinians. https://www.jpost.com/international/article-845837

This answer is effective as you directly quote Donald Trump in his statement towards Schumer, as well as quoting Nihad Awad. Though I would like it if there was more discussing the original source and what groups aside from just the Council of American-Islamic Relations have said in regard to the situation.

This claim is true. In the source linked, the New York Times includes quotes from several leaders of Muslim and Jewish groups but also provides a link to chief executive of the Jewish Democratic Council of America Halie Soifer's X account. Here, she posts a message reading, "Donald Trump doesn't get to decide who is Jewish. @SenSchumer is the country's highest ranking elected Jewish American, and 'Palestinian' should not be used as an insult." Amy Spitalnick, CEO of the Jewish Council for Public Affairs, also confirmed her statements against Trump on her LinkedIn profile: "As I told The New York Times: Trump’s attacks on civil liberties, due process, and education institutions are about exploiting our real concerns about antisemitism to undermine democracy." Finally, Nihad Awad, National Executive Director of CAIR, confirmed his statements on cair.com: "President Trump’s use of the term ‘Palestinian’ as a racial slur is offensive and beneath the dignity of his office." These three statements are all upheld by their respective makers, so it is clear that this claim by The New York Times is true.

This article and claim are true. It was posted from the New York Times, a very reliable source. They took these quotes directly from Trump when there were many witnesses in the Oval Office. The only worry I would have for this article is bias since the NYT is obviously a more liberal and democratic-leaning paper. However, the status of their name and overall success tells me they uphold high journalistic standards. The Guardian also published an article backing the NYT article, so I believe this claim is true.
