→ Scientists actually haven’t discovered two new colors, specifically in the Amazon Rainforest. Although a team of scientists in California did recently discover what seems to be a new color, in which they named “olo”. The color “olo” was found by the team of scientists stimulating certain cone cells in the retinas of participants, using lasers. According to BBC.com, they state “Scientists claim to have discovered ‘new colour’ no one has seen before.” This article then takes a deeper dive into the research, experiments, and findings of the new color “olo”,  led by the team of scientists I had mentioned above.

While a new color has been found, the prompt of finding it in the Amazon rainforest is not only misleading but undeniably false. Researchers from the UC Berkeley found a new color, naming it "Olo." This color has a twist though-you can't see it with your naked eye. Through research and utilizing lazers to target specific photoreceptors in our eyes, the scientists were able to discover a new color, describing it as a "[...] profoundly saturated teal." Now Olo wasn't deemed as a color created from nature but rather "[...] a hue that has always been there — but hidden from human eye," stated by The Economic Times. The source is trustworthy nonetheless as these are prominent and credible researchers at reputable institution. Furthermore, after researching the title, there are various other articles about this new color suggesting that this research is in fact true. The exaggeration stems from the prompt and the color being found in the Amazon rainforest which did not happen.

I really like how you strictly fact checked the prompt and not just the overall topic. I think others would probably say that this is a true statement because of the fact that this new "color" was found and ignore the rest of the statement so good job on that. I also like how you explained the credibility of your sources.

I really enjoyed reading what you have to say about your findings with the research for the color "olo". This is something I have actually talked about in my psychology class, and we came across the same reasoning that its not possible to see with a naked eye but through experiments. I also liked how you used yoru research to help support your cliam.
