This claim is False the site that they used to get this information was a twitter post and that post has no evidence to support this claim is true. I then looked into this claim and I found multiple articles saying that this claim in not true just a rumor that had started. This was started by the now President Donald Trump wanted an Air Force Jet in stead of a regular jet. Then people started saying that Barack Obama accepted a Sky Palace as a gift from Qatar in 2015. This claim is just a rumor started because they just wanted to stir the pot about Obamas presidency. With this being said there is still no evidence towards this claim. When looking at the website MEAWW they said that they even called up Obamas Post-Presidency office saying that this is not true. When looking up this claim a lot of websites show up all saying that this is false information. Qatar did give Obama gifts the Jet was not one of them. So with this all being said this claim is very untrue and just a rumor that someone had started because Donald Trump got a Air Force jet from Qatar so they wanted it to look like Obama got the same sort of gift as well.

I like how you were able to not only clearly communicate that this claim was false, but also demonstrate the reasoning and the "why" behind the untruthfulness of the claim. It is interesting both when and how this rumor was brought about as well. As I read your response, I was able to follow along with the context of the issue, and understand where the false claim stems from as well as the opinion and bias of the original source. Nice work!

This is a great comment. You clearly laid out why the claim about Obama accepting a Sky Palace jet from Qatar is false, and the inclusion of MEAWW's call to Obama's post presidency office is a very strong piece of evidence. The connection you make to Donald Trump's Air Force One preferences as a possible starting point for this rumor is also a really insightful piece of analysis.

This was a very strong comment as you made sure to understand the validity of the claim from the original twitter post. The context of Donald Trump's acceptance of a similar jet can lead to reader to understand why this claim would be made. MEAWW even asking the office of the Obama's post presidency office is strong evidence to prove the claim to false.

I agree with your reaction to this post and that it is false, looking into the site and seeing that it has no validity instantly creates questions about its reputation. The sources you found to prove this was false are reputable and trustworthy which shows how you took the time to dive in and find out the truth behind this claim.
