This claim is true. According to multiple sources (New York Post, Oregon Live, Oregon Public Broadcasting, Fox News), thousands of people gathered at Tom McCall Waterfront Park in Portland as part of the nationwide “No Kings” protest. Individuals dressed in all black launched fireworks and created a makeshift battering ram, while also breaking a glass door to storm the ICE facility in Portland. In response, federal officers deployed smoke, tear gas, flash grenades, and other projectiles as some in the crowd hurled fireworks and water bottles in response. At least 3 people were arrested during the riot, two of them for allegedly assaulting a peace officer.
