Pope Leo showed disapproval of Donald Trump's immigration policies. He pointed out that the calling of Christians is to treat the foreigner well, as Christ did to the Samaritan woman. He has previously disapproved of Trump building a wall along the border of the United States and Mexico, implying that such an action is not Christian. This disapproval of the president shook catholic conservatives, as many prominent christians have adapted their teaching to keep favor with the president. Pope Leo, although he is an American, has not adapted his teaching line up with the president's actions, calling out his "inhuman" actions. He also expressed disapproval at Trump's military action against Venezuela, asserting that the use of violence would not bring victory.

This claim that Pope Leo thinks that Donald Trump is not a Christian is factual. Pope Leo had said this before in 2016, way before his election for Pope this year, claiming, “A person who thinks only about building walls, wherever they may be, and not building bridges, is not Christian.” Pope Leo has criticized the president and the vice president multiple times on his X account @drprevost, which was deactivated after his election

Since that deactivation, the public believes that the Pope has been hinting at dissing the US President during his Sunday Mass. The Pope said, “There is no room for prejudice, for ‘security’ zones separating us from our neighbours, for the exclusionary mindset that, unfortunately, we now see emerging also in political nationalisms.”

Yes, this claim is correct, as the Pope has even said it himself multiple times that Donald Trump is not a man of God, and not a Christian.
