In Woodburn, Oregon, ICE detained at least 30 people on Thursday. Most of whom are the main breadwinners for the families, leaving women and children to fend for themselves. In Oregon as a whole, more than 200 people have been detained since Trump has taken office. It has also been noticed that ICE activity has increased since the government shutdown, instead of finding ways to help families that are going hungry.

From what I found this claim is likely true. According to the Statesman Journal, over 30 people have been detained by ICE in Woodburn, Oregon by the end of October. Another source, Koin, shares that at least 280 immigrants were detained in Oregon in October. Both sources are fairly unbiased but are both Oregon based and the people they interview may not hold unbiased opinions. Looking at other sources, most seem to quote the press conference for a farmer advocacy group. As for the people being detained being the main source of income for the families being affected, according to Forced Migration Review, a disproportionate amount of men are being detained.

This claim is true. Oregon has experienced a increases is ice agents under trumps presidency. In October 2025, ICE detained 30 people in Woodburn, this was the largest immigration raid under Trump's new term. According to the advocacy group PCUN over 200 people have been detailed statewide since Trump took office. Although ICE has not verified this the Oregon Capital Chronicle, Statesman Journal, and OPB verified the Woodburn arrests, and cited ICE sources. This claim is true.

My findings show that there has been an increase of ICE in Oregon under Trumps presidency and that this claim is accurate.

According to statesmanjournal.com, the local article states that Oregon For All claimed that there has been over 300 people have been detained in October 2025. It also similarly states that there has been about 30 people detained in Woodburn, Oregon on October 30th. To add on, according to Fox News, the Trump administration has added federal law enforcement attention to Portland, sending troops out and claiming it is "war-ravaged". More recently, 16 immigrants, including farmworkers, have been detained in Salem Tuesday, November 11th, in regards to oregonlive.com. A statement from the organization, Latinos Unidos Siempre, state that ICE broke the windows of a van with people on the way to work.

Multiple reliable sources support that since Trumps second presidency there has been an increase of ICE in Oregon, as recent as this past Tuesday. This claim is true.

Thank you for shedding light on this fact check, I found your research to be accurate. The Lincoln Chronicle also reported the same information, confirming the same group send out the information about the raid and about elected officials, specifically Representative Lesly Munoz, the Democrat from Woodburn (https://lincolnchronicle.org/oregon-sees-largest-immigration-raid-thursday-in-woodburn-with-30-detained-group-says/). KPTV reported all the same information, and elaborated that since Oct. 15th, at least 200 immigrants have been arrested. This statistic supports your claim, and the tone of the KPTV article was that these are unusually high numbers of arrests.

This is not a journalistic fact, but in my personal experience there has been more of an ICE presence than ever before in Oregon, as a born and raised 7th generation Oregonian. My family in SW Portland have had ICE helicopters hovering over our neighborhood, flying from the ICE detention center to the Hillsboro airport. In my and my families lived experiences, there has never been a clear presence of ICE in Oregon.
