The shutdown is over following the federal governments decision to reopen their agencies after President Donald Trump signed the House-passed funding package last night, officially ending the 43-day shut down. While this is a gradual process, with air travel still feeling many effects and federal workers that are still waiting for back pay because they have yet to receive a paycheck in weeks.
While SNAP benefits were shut down during this government shut down, most SNAP benefit enrollees can expect to receive their November benefits by Monday, November 17. Agricultural Secretary Brooke Rollins is taking charge on the SNAP benefits, making sure that everyone is able to get their November benefits, after nearly 42 million people were left without food.
