This article assesses a widely-shared claim that Lebanon is being encroached upon by a new concrete wall built by Israel inside its territory. The article shows that the wall in question is actually being built behind the internationally-recognized “Blue Line”, on the Israeli side, and thus not on Lebanese land. The claim had been amplified by social media, and the fact-check helps correct a narrative that could inflame tensions in an already volatile region.
