Ukraine's anti-corruption watchdog has accused Timur Mindich of masterminding a $100 million embezzlement and kickback scandal at state nuclear firm Energoatom.
Mindich was once a business partner of President Zelenskyy, and he is said to expand his influence under the Zelenskyy administration taking advantage of the connection with him.
Mindich has already fled the country while Zelensky is not implicated in the investigation. He has supported the probe and imposed sanctions on Mindich.
