PolitiFact found that people were using AI voice tools to create fake audio that sounded like real public officials and posting it on TikTok and YouTube. These clips spread false election info because they sounded convincing and many viewers didn’t realize the audio wasn’t real. This is important because AI makes misinformation way harder to spot, and people can easily be misled.
