I found information on the News Gazette that stated Raising Cane's will be opening in November on Green Street. I also have been passing the restaurant a few times and it seems close to being done and ready to open.

Yes, raising canes will most likely be opening in November as the spokesperson confirmed that it should be opening in November.

@nadiatourjman, good explanation. For future fact-checks, it would be best to find an alternative source besides what is provided by the person posting the claim. Also, don't forget to add a rating, such as "not misinformation, true."

Nice explanation. In the future, it would be a stronger fact-check if you dug deeper and found a source besides the one that was used for the claim. Also, don't forget to add a rating, such as "not misinformation, true."

While previous reports did have Raising Canes opening in November, new updates from Julia Doyle, a spokeswoman for the chain, now has the restaurant opening in February 2023. Doyle cited construction delays as the reason for pushing back the opening date. I found this information on Yahoo News, which sourced the article from the Champaign News-Gazette. https://newsdetective.org/5086/claim-raising-canes-opening-november-university-illinois
