I saw that amazon might be laying a lot of people off. I just find this hard to believe since it is a huge company and the holidays.

I find this answer to be true as NY times and the above response of CNBC are both reliable sources. The CEO himself, Andy Jassy, also claimed that layoffs of Amazon would continue into the next year according to The Business Journals, and Business Insider.

Yes, Amazon is expected to lay off around 10,000 people. Even though Amazon is a giant company, the worsening economy has forced the company to make some cuts. These layoffs are expected to continue going into the new year.

I found this article that explains that the amazon stock is getting lower, and that the people are actually getting laid off. The CEO of amazon admitted to it, and said there will be more people laid off in the future.
