I saw an article about Iran wanting the U.S. to be disqualified after they posted the Iranian flag on social media, and I am curious if the U.S. will actually be kicked out.

Nice job including a source link and rating, however, you lack a clear explanation and information that has been attributed to a source. Going forward, please include a detailed explanation.

At the time of writing, the US has qualified for the knockout stages of the World Cup while Iran has been eliminated. However, before this had become official and ahead of the match between Iran and USA, the US men's national soccer team posted a graphic displaying the standings of their group, but altered the Iranian flag by removing the emblem of the Iranian republic in the center of the flag. The Iranian government was enraged by this as from their perspective, US Soccer removed the name of god. Iran called for a 10 game ban on the grounds of racism from US Soccer and lodged an official complaint to FIFA. It is unlikely that this request will be granted, however.

While FIFA has not given an official statement, supposedly, "a number of well-placed sources have suggested that the prospect of a US ban is highly unlikely."

The claim is regarding Iran wanting the U.S. kicked out from the World Cup and not about the outcome. So going forward, it's best to present the evidence to either discredit or confirm the claim.
