Recently, Christian Smalls, Amazon.com Inc. warehouse worker was fired. Smalls was a pivotal force in unionizing his co-workers and was fired after attending a protest. Afterwards, Smalls filed a lawsuit claiming he was fired under racist ideals.

After reading this article, I believe that Smalls is reasonable for filing this lawsuit. Despite this, I am unsure if Amazon is legally liable for firing him.

I found the claim, U.S. judges leery of fired Amazon organizer's race bias claims, valid. Using information from multiple correlating articles, including the 2020 court dockets from Smalls's original hearing denying the allegations of racial discrimination and the Bloomberg Law (https://news.bloomberglaw.com/daily-labor-report/second-circuit-skeptical-about-amazon-covid-based-race-bias-suit) interpretation of it (days after the original claim/article above) I do not believe that the court is likely to revive the claims. Therefore, this claim is valid.

This page by the Amazon Worker's Alliance describes the rights of workers when diagnosed with Covid-19 with the assumption of quarantine.

After reading multiple articles about the case and the premise that he was fired, It is reasonable to think that the case between Christian Smalls and Amazon was reasonably judged, as he was responsible for other members of his job, took paid leave under the premise he was under covid, as well as getting caught, there is no reason to believe that the case should be revived.
