As a long time pop music fan, I've been seeing this going around lately, especially with the whole Ticketmaster fiasco. People claim that the industry is only up because of her but once she's gone, the golden era of music will be gone.

Here's a link to the first post I saw: https://i-d.vice.com/en/article/qjkakb/how-did-taylor-swift-get-successful

Claims are best framed as statements rather than questions. This claim could be reworded to be "Claim: Taylor Swift is one of the only pop stars left." However, "one of the only" might not be specific enough and be open to interpretation, so you could make it more concise: "Claim: Taylor Swift is the only pop star left."

I think Taylor Swift has proved herself to be not only one of the most influential people of our generation but also one of the only real "Posters" left. While Taylor has drifted away from the typical Pop music she is still has seen to be a world sensation. One thing that really sets her apart from most musicians these days is that she will use her power for good. She is no stranger to sharing her platform for good. Also, with the recent events on Ticketmaster for her upcoming concert proves it all. The Ticketmaster site got completely shut down while all the tickets were sold out before they were even let out to the public.

Good job providing a detailed explanation and a source. The source link -- Forbes -- doesn't quite support your claim or mention anything about her being the only real pop star left. Also, I found lists of current pop stars worldwide (Justin Beiber is among one of them) which could debunk the claim is accurate. Just something to think about when putting a fact-check together. Also, don't forget to add a rating (see the sidebar of this page).

Taylor Swift may be considered one of the most famous and singer/song writers, but I don't think that this means that she is one of the only real pop stars left. I am surrounded by friends who are huge Taylor Swift fans, and they also agree with this statement. According to an articles published by Universal Music Group it states that she is the only artist ever to have five albums with over 1 million units during release week. Although she is extremely talented, and successful I think that saying she is one of the only real pop stars left may be a stretch. The article showed her success and fame, but I don't think that these are the only qualities that make someone a pop star. There are so many new artists, and old artists that are listened to and discovered any day that have the potential to be pop stars and similar to Taylor Swift.
