While in search of a laptop I did extensive research on what was the best laptop I could buy. Surprisingly enough, the 2022 Macbooks are not the best and most powerful laptops in Apple's lineup, that goes to the 2021 MacBook Pro.  It is more powerful, has more ports, and is just a better overall laptop than any of the 2022 ones.

Although people may have various interests and preferences when it comes to their computers, and specifically their MacBooks there definitely is one that is overall the best. I agree that you don't have to fall for the newer the better when it comes to MacBooks. In a news article by The New York Time that was published a week ago on February 1st, they state that the 2020 and 2022 MacBook Air's are the best overall laptops. With comfortable keyboards, fast speeds, reasonable storage, etc. the article tells about how these two versions of the MacBook airs are the ways to go. Both writers of this article Dave Gershgorn and Andrew Cunningham have reviewed, built, repaired, written, and tested computers laptops, tablets, and other gadgets since 2015 and is confident with his knowledge on these technologies.

Personally, I have a MacBook air along with the majority of my friends. With the thin structure, fast speeds, and brighter screen the bulk of people that I asked around prefer Apples MacBook Air versus the MacBook pro.

A computer being the "best" is largely subjective, and this your claim depends mostly on what is important to you. Therefore, there is not a definitive true or false to your claim.

For a regular day-to-day laptop user, the 2020 MacBook Air is another good option as it is light, fast, and quiet. Source: https://www.apple.com/macbook-air-m1/ which explains the spec of the laptop stating how powerful the chip is and how quiet the laptop is. This laptop is also cheaper than other options at $999 compared to $1199 for the newest air.

If you need your laptop for more advanced tasks like editing or coding, the pro would be a better fit for you. Additionally, many people state that the 2021 MacBook Pro has a much better value than the 2022 MacBook Pro. Source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DzrXL97uvdI which explains that you can internally upgrade the laptop, get impressive discounts from other sites such as Best Buy, has a satisfying keyboard experience, and high quality visual effects. Overall, the 2021 laptop is a powerful laptop, but make sure to look into refurbished websites and non-Apple sites for the best deal.

Fact checking which computer is the best is very opinionated. Different computers do different things for different people. For example, an artist will think differently of a computer than a teacher. An artist would probably prefer something touch screen so that they can draw, whereas a teacher may want a computer that's user friendly. Because of this it's hard to determine which computer is best due to different peoples opinions, occupations, technological knowledge etc.
