In 2022, R'Bonney Gabriel won the 2022 Miss USA pageant. However, rumors were flying from the contestants on how it was rigged. When Gabriel was crowned, she did not show any emotions of surprise. One key thing to note is the contestants walked off of the state and did not congratulate her. This has not happened in 10 years. Another interesting part of this claim is the favoritism Gabriel received from the president of the Miss USA Organization. There has also been an official investigation into whether it was fixed, and the president was officially banned a few weeks ago.

There are still investigations going on about the Miss USA pageant. Other contestants also claimed they thought it was rigged. This is what I have found.

Good work finding a source to demonstrate that the claim is true. Going forward, however, you can dig a bit deeper and find more legitimate sources than the NY Post, which sometimes publishes sensational news. I noted that CNN and other more reputable outlets have confirmed the claim. In addition, within your explanation you should attribute your evidence to the source rather than say "this is what I found."

For instance you could say something like: "According to CCN, the Miss USA Pageant is under investigation for possibly being rigged. The news outlet reported that 'Miss Universe Organization has suspended Miss USA President Crystle Stewart and her company, Miss Brand Corporation, pending an independent investigation into allegations that the 2022 Miss USA pageant was rigged.'"

In addition, strong fact-checks include a rating (true, false, likely misinformation, opinion, etc.).

Miss USA pageant is still being investigated as to whether or not it was rigged. Crystal Stewart, who is the Miss USA President has been suspend from her role. Her company, Miss Brands has also been suspended at this time. According to The Miss Universe Organization (MUO), “Miss Brands is being investigated for claims that the pageant outcome was fixed and/or that the organization of the contest was favored for a particular contestant to win.” The MUO has taken over the Miss USA program while the investigation is being conducted. The article linked provides more detailed information on the investigation.

It appears that the pageant is still being investigated for possibly being rigged. There are allegations and some suspensions but nothing confirmed that I can tell. https://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/miss-universe-rbonney-gabriel-miss-usa-title-b2272018.html. So the rating could be "no available information" given that the investigation is not yet finished.

There are still investigations being conducted on whether or not the pageant was rigged.

"Miss Universe Organization will be taking over the Miss USA program while a comprehensive, third-party investigation is conducted"

The Miss USA Organization told NBC News it had no comment at this time.

Like you said, the investigation into the allegations of a possibly rigging of the pageant are still underway. Therefore, it would be premature to say that the claim is true if the investigation has not yet been completed, correct? Maybe the more appropriate rating could be "no available information."
