CLAIM: Elon Musk and Obama are half chinese

Kanye's recent instagram post insinuates that Elon Musk and Obama are half Chinese. Kanye has a lot of industry secrets under his belt as he's a very prominent celebrity.

Elon and Obamas parents are not chinese.

According to the source, and majority of others I looked at neither Obamas or Elons parents are chinese. Obama's father is kenyan, and his mother is caucasian. Elon Musk's father and mother are both caucasian. None of them ever had Chinese citizenship either.

Although Kanye is a celebrity and it is very likely that he knows lots of industry secrets. Both Obama and Elons parents history is documented and there is no sign of them being chinese. Kanyes eccentricity should also be taken into account, he is notorious for saying unusual things.

This is straight up false and has no real evidence behind it. Kanye is known for saying off the wall things and I'm sure some of what he knows/says include industry secrets and may be true. Despite that though, this claim is not true.

Elon Musk is South African. He was born in South Africa to his mother who is Canadian and his father who is also South African.

As Barack Obama said in a campaign speech in 2008, he is "the son of a black man from Kenya and a white woman from Kansas".

This is not a true fact.

Let's start with Obama. His father, Barack Hussien Sr, who was born in Kenya like most of his family tree will confirm. His mother, Ann Dunham, is fully Caucasian all the way across the board. Ann Dunham did live occasionally in Indonesia, and eventually Hawaii, then back to Indonesia. Barack Hussien Sr unfortunately passed away in 1982.

Moving on to Elon Musk. His mother, Maye Musk, was born in Canada with family being in the surrounding areas. His father, Errol Musk, was South African, and Elon himself was raised in South Africa until the age of 1982 when he moved to Canada. In turn, Musk is also Caucasian.

  A lot of celebrities know more than most civilians do about a lot of things, but someone's ethnicity can easily be determined just by looking more into their family tree. Kanye West is known for saying out of pocket untrue things.

This is false.

Obama's father is a black Kenyan studying in the United States. His mother is a white American from Kansas.

Musk’s father, Errol Musk, is a wealthy South African engineer. His mother, Maye Musk, is a Canadian model.

There is no sign or any proof that they are half Chinese. Although Kanye is known as knowing a lot of industry secrets, this one is definitely false.

This claim is completely false. Kanye is notorious for his out-of-pocket claims and bizarre statements. 

Both Elon and Barack's parents are neither Chinese, nor come from Chinese heritage. 

Elon Musk was born in Pretoria, South Africa. He has South African heritage on his paternal side, and his mother is of Canadian descent, but was raised in South Africa. According to Britannica, "Musk was born to a South African father and a Canadian mother."

Barack Obama, however, was born in Honolulu, Hawaii. According to The White House, Obama's mother is from Kansas, with English ancestry, and his father is from Kenya, from the Luo ethnic group. 

The location and ethnicity is not up for debate, and there is no proof of either of them being Chinese or of Chinese ethnicity.

Kanye was previously suspended from Instagram for antisemitic posts, and contributes to conspiracy theories regarding Obama. This claim is 100% false and he has no proof for his claim.
