'Sunday Morning Futures' host Maria Bartiromo reacts to a report that says more adult children and parents are living together as costs continue to rise...."

Does the Pew Report which is cited say who is moving in with whom? I thought the trend was for adult kids to be moving back in with their parents.

The Wall Street Journal reports that there is an increase in a trend where parents are moving in with their young adult children. A senior researcher at Pew, Richard Fry, also said that there is a significant number of older adults moving in with their millennial children. The Hill states that they are trying to save because of inflation and high housing costs. This situation also allows for the children to save on child care because the parents are available to watch their grandchildren. Overall, multigenerational housing is on the rise, allowing everyone to save during a time of high inflation.

Nice job finding an additional source to back up your claim. Good work.

"More parents are moving back in with their adult children"

"25 percent of millenials are now living with their older relatives."

"68 percent of multigenerational homes were parents hosting adult kids"

"15 percent of multigenerational homes were adult kids hosting parents"

Above are some quotes I pulled from the video. It looks like the Pew report found that adult kids are moving in with their older relatives, and that adult kids are hosting their parents. Multigenerational households in general are on the rise.

So would you say that the claim is true and factually accurate based on your findings? Is inflation the only reason? The AARP wrote up something in 2018, saying it was on the rise then. Do you think that inflation is the actual cause?
