People keep talking about Hunter Bidens laptop. Is it really a smoking gun of Biden family crimes?

Hunter Biden is suing a Delaware computer shop owner for illegally copying and distributing information from his laptop's hard drive. It is alleged that the emails on the laptop suggest Hunter Biden's international business dealings were influencing US foreign policy. The texts and financial records also provide insight into Hunter Biden's business dealings in China and Ukraine. While the information can be incriminating, it is about Hunter Biden as opposed to Joe Biden. For this reason, I would say this post is exaggerated/misleading.

In response to, 'people like talking about Hunter Biden's laptop . is it a really a smoking gun of Biden family secrets?' Wikipedia reports, " that Russian plot emails were found on an abandoned laptop that was believed to be Hunter Biden's. However, no evidence was found to execute Biden."

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hunter_Biden_laptop_controversy.

Also, according to, CBS News, "The laptop data shows no evidence of tampering or foul play." Therefore, Hunter Biden's laptop is not full of lies.

This is misinformation

Sorry, you said to "execute" Biden?

I apologize if I offended you. It was a bad word choice on my part. I meant it as charging him with a crime.

Wikipedia isn't the best source for fact-checks; try to stick with credible, reputable organizations, academia, or media outlets.

No offense taken.

"No evidence was found to execute Biden" sounds like if they found evidence he would be executed.

@Ctester I think the tampering or foul play is regarding the laptop itself -- not whether there's foul play in terms of the content on the laptop. So I'm not sure that the quote you extracted demonstrates that there's nothing incriminating on the laptop (re: the claim.)
