This claim is correct based on the New York Times article that states, "If you start using Botox, which freezes wrinkles, when you’re young, you won’t form the grooves people try to “correct” later in life". This article explains the benefits of botox in early age because it decreases the amount of wrinkles that are formed later in life. This claim is not misinformation and is backed up by the credible source of the New York Times.

Based on the science behind botox, wrinkles can be prevented when getting botox. However, it gets a little tricky to claim that as true when considering it to prevent wrinkles later on in life. Typically botox is used to alter the face, like lifting it, tightening it, and getting rid of current wrinkles. Depending on how you age has a lot to do with this assumption along with the botox and how often you get it. So depending on how long of prevention you are talking about this claim is mostly true.

According to Pure Aesthetics "By injecting the muscles that typically cause wrinkles around the mouth, eyes, and eyebrows with Botox before they start to develop wrinkles, you are essentially preventing them before they happen."

Going forward, try to find a source that wouldn't have any financial interest in the claim. The source you used has Botox as a service and might be more inclined to support early Botox because of profit-making.

According to an article published in The New York Times, getting Botox injections can help postpone the development of wrinkles but does not prevent them entirely. The article states that Botox works by temporarily paralyzing the muscles responsible for causing wrinkles. By doing so, it can prevent the deepening of existing wrinkles and can delay the formation of new ones.

However, the article also highlights that Botox is not a permanent solution and its effects only last for a few months. Therefore, individuals who wish to maintain the results of their Botox injections must undergo repeated treatments over time. In conclusion, while Botox injections can help postpone wrinkles, they do not prevent them entirely. Its effects are temporary, and individuals who wish to maintain their youthful appearance must undergo repeated treatments.

When fact-checking a claim, it's best to dig deeper and find information besides the source that was listed with the claim originally.

Pure Aesthetics, a company specializing in botox and other forms of skin procedures and body care, suggests that botox at a younger age can prevent full-on wrinkles in the future. However, this is more of a preventative measure than anything else and isn't really useful before your mid-20s. Moral of the story, preventative botox is a thing but please do your research before using this strategy to prevent wrinkles.

It's best to dig deeper and find reputable sources that don't have a financial interest in Botox. The source you used sells Botox as a service, so they might be more inclined to suggest Botox at a younger age.

As per Dr. Quynh-Giao Sartor, MD, FAAD, a board certified dermatologist in Houston, TX, paralysis is temporary, expression lines slowly return 3 to 6 months after treatment. The clinical effects of Botox disappear within 3 to 6 months. That means you’ll need regular sessions to stay wrinkle-free. Otherwise, Sartor says, your creases will eventually return to baseline.

However, Patricia Wexler, M.D., of Wexler Dermatology in Manhattan Botox says that facial muscles naturally weaken over time and going overboard in a certain area could have unwanted consequences. "If you do too much Botox on your forehead for many, many years, the muscles will get weaker and flatter," cautions Wexler, adding that the skin can also appear thinner and looser. Moreover, as your muscles become weaker, they can start to recruit surrounding muscles when you make facial expressions. "If one stops using their forehead muscles, they may start squinting using their nose and have wrinkles along the side of their nose," she explains. Translation: You need even more Botox for the newly recruited muscles, says Wexler.

Hence, getting Botox is a personal choice. It is not definitively proved that it will prevent wrinkles in the old age.

According to an article by Harper's Bazaar, Dr. Shotter, founder of Illuminate Skin Clinic, explains that if someone is a suitable candidate for preventative botox then "you will age with less lines and wrinkles" and also added that "it's much easier to prevent than to correct." The article explains how wrinkles are formed and that the science behind preventative botox involves relaxing overly expressive muscles to prevent creasing and the formation of lines. It also mentions the possible downsides of the procedure as well. Some of the downsides may include heavy botox at a young age which may actually make people look older. It can also weaken the muscles in the face which later may cause them to not hold the skin up as well in the future.

Recently, many are choosing to get botox as a preventative action to prevent wrinkles when aging. Especially now with social media presence, everyone wants to reach this "perfect" face, and for many, botox seems to be the solution.

According to an article by Vogue, preventive botox can help reduce wrinkles if it is done conservatively. However, if one chooses to receive botox too much, it may age them. The article states, "Botox only lasts three to six months- and yet what's less commonly discussed is this: Facial muscles naturally weaken over time and going overboard in a certain area could have unwanted consequences." The article continues to explain that, "'If you do too much botox on your forehead for many, many years, the muscles will get weaker and flatter.'"

Based on this evidence, the claim that botox at an early age can prevent wrinkles later in life is only true if it is done on occasion and by a professional who knows how to do it correctly. This statement has to be false because of exceptions as explained in the article by Vogue. If someone gets botox too frequently, it will actually make their skin age and cause more wrinkles.

The use of Botox at an early age can result in preventing fewer wrinkles later in life. In a  BYRDIE article it mentions needing less botox the sooner you get the procedures done because your skin gets used to the muscles not moving that over time less and less botox is needed. The effects of botox will stay intake after stopping the procedures because the muscles in the skin can't move in the span of a night so depending on how much botox was used your skin will still retain it over time. Botox helps brighten the skin and decrease of wrinkles when used at an early age and for a long term use.

Healthline describes preventative Botox as "injections for your face that claim to keep wrinkles from appearing". Though, the effectiveness of preventative Botox can vary: "It can't stop wrinkles from appearing, but it can prevent you from seeing them". If Botox is injected in the initial stages of fine lines, it is particularly successful. Ideal candidates are individuals in their mid-to-late 20s or early 30s who do not yet have advanced wrinkles.

Therefore, this claim is true. While Botox cannot freeze all wrinkles, it can be an extremely useful preventative measure if started at a young age.
