USA Today states Donald Trump was arrested Tuesday shortly after he stated on Twitter that he was going to be. This is the first time in the U.S. history that a former president has been arrested. Photos of him being arrested have also circulated the internet.

Former President Donald Trump has been indicted on 34 felony charges based on corrupt business records. According to this article by CNN, "Trump surrendered and was placed under arrest Tuesday before he was arraigned in a historic and unprecedented court appearance, in which the former president heard the charges against him for the first time."

Although he was not imprisoned, the fact still remains that former President Donald Trump was arrested.
