This is True. https://www.nytimes.com/2023/08/02/us/lizzo-dancers-lawsuit-harassment.html
According to the NYT article, three dancers who previously worked on Lizzo's last tour filed a complaint alleging that Lizzo and her team captain produced a toxic and hyper-sexualized work atmosphere. The pop artist recently replied to the lawsuit's accusations, calling them "as unbelievable as they sound."

This is in fact true.

According to NBC News, Lizzo weight-shamed, and sexually harassed four dancers. As stated in the lawsuit, "Plaintiffs were aghast with how little regard Lizzo showed for the bodily autonomy of her employees and those around her, especially in the presence of many people whom she employed." Dancer Arianna Davis was also pressured to touch a nude performer at an Amsterdam club.

@courtcheese and @svallapareddy, going forward, it's better to add your fact-check rather than comment on the claim. You'll then be able to have your claim be upvoted and chosen as the best answer. Thanks!

Good answer! I appreciate you citing the article and describing what is happening with an actual lawsuit, as well as Lizzo's reaction to the lawsuit as well. It provides a more well rounded idea of what is going on here.

I have heard quite a bit on this issue. There is multiple different accusers. I think you also did a great job mentioning which sources were used and from the ones you mentioned they all seem to be reputable

I have heard about this, and I think you answered it very well. I like your evidence from the lawsuit directly, and as unfortunate as it is I think you did a good job explaining what had happened.

The main claim of this article is around Lizzo's response to her allegations. I believe this article to be a reliable source and to be accurate. This article was written by Dustin Jones and published by NPR OPB. This a high quality and valid article that includes quotes from specific people and is written un biased. Other reliable news sources such as NBC and Rolling Stone have also reported on this.

This claim seems to be true. An article from Billboard explains this:

"A Los Angeles judge on Friday (Feb. 2) denied Lizzo’s motion to toss out a bombshell sexual harassment lawsuit filed by three of her former backup dancers, dismissing certain accusations but allowing the case as a whole to move forward toward a trial."

This is true. Billboard, and international entertainment magazine, also reported on this lawsuit. Here is a link to the court documents that were included in the Billboard article, which dives into wha the lawsuit is about.

This is a true post.

According to the NBC article, the singer, "created a hostile work environment" and "Accused the singer of sexual harassment. Throughout this time the singer was aware of the comments being made against her. “The stunning nature of how Lizzo and her management team treated their performers seems to go against everything Lizzo stands for publicly, while privately she weight-shames her dancers and demeans them in ways that are not only illegal but absolutely demoralizing,” Zambrano said in a statement. These are all conflicting points when being brought up during the lawsuit.

This claim is true, unfortunately.

After researching if Lizzo really could do such an unspeakable action, I concluded that she did do it. There have been dancers and staff of Lizzo that have complained in the past but it seems that they were all mostly swept under the rug. Now that multiple of them are coming out simultaneously, the story is getting more recognition. Some of the claims are that Lizzo was forcing them to reveal themselves and do actions that made them feel uncomfortable.

This is true. https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/lizzo-dancers-weight-shamed-pressured-touch-nude-performer-lawsuit-rcna95161 This NBC news article, along with many other articles report on this case. Allegedly multiple of Lizzo's dancers and team were made to feel uncomfortable and shamed in various situations. Lizzo is being sued over what has happened and responded with "these claims are as unbelievable as they sound," further denying the claims that are being made against her.
