After diving into the history of these two and their coverage after dating rumors had spread, the claim that "Taylor Swift says, 'I'm in love with him.'" is false. While the first half of the main claim has proven to be true from the hints and words used to describe their relationship by Taylor - as we know now as labeled "dating" - from her interview with Time Magazine for "Person of the Year", there is no confirmation of her ever stating that she was/is in love with him. In the interview sourced by Rolling Stones, Taylor was curious how the cameramen in the NFL game stadiums always find their focus on her wherever she is seated and states "'I'm just there to support Travis.  I have no awareness of if I’m being shown too much and pissing off a few dads, Brads, and Chads.'" and wondering that around the time the public found out they were "dating" was from her attending his games. She hasn't publicly stated she's in love with him yet, but their outings and support of each other could lead to assumptions about their relationship status.

After searching the web and finding multiple articles from various news sources I have concluded that this is false information. Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have been seen in public on multiple occasions, including Swift attending Kelce's football games. However, despite there public affection and seen together, there are no reports that Swift said "i'm in love with him." In the summer of 2023 the couple was reported being seen together and since than have had a big presence in the media.

Based on the current confirmation of Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift dating it could be speculated that Swift is “in love with him” based on the constant support they each show to one another such as showing up to games/concerts. In TIME Magazine Swift states “ When you say a relationship is public, that means I’m going to see him do what he loves, we’re showing up for each other, other people are there and we don’t care,” along with that in a Wall Street Journal article with Kelce he shares that he has never dated anyone with an aura like Swifts. However, there is no evidence in the media stating that she has said this, the source where this statement comes from is a YouTube channel called “Gossip Tea” in which they share celebrity drama. Digging deeper into this account I’ve found that the majority of what they share is clickbait within the past 2 months, and the majority of what they’ve been sharing is misleading information revolving around their relationship.

At first I concluded this claim was false, but after reading your review I agree that is is exaggerated/misleading. I like how you used multiple sources to point out how she has publicly confirmed they are dating, and then point out that while this is true, there is no proof that the second part of the claim is real. The claim that Taylor Swift has publicly confirmed she's dating NFL player Travis Kelce is true, however, there is no documentation of Taylor admitting she's "in love with him." The two have been seen out together on numerous occasions, there are videos of Taylor going to Travis' games, and Travis has been seen attending her concerts which has gained lots of media attention. 

Before Time magazine released their 2023 Person of the Year: Taylor Swift, she hadn't spoken on the matter. In the article, she explains how the two started dating, but never spoke on whether she loved him stating '"When you say a relationship is public, that means I’m going to see him do what he loves, we’re showing up for each other, other people are there and we don’t care,' she says. 'The opposite of that is you have to go to an extreme amount of effort to make sure no one knows that you’re seeing someone. And we’re just proud of each other.'"

The YouTube video itself didn't speak on their feelings for each other either; rather, they used a clickbait thumbnail that said "I'm in love with him" next to a picture of Taylor's face. They proceed to not address that quote at all. Mostly it was all based on speculation and quotes from anonymous sources close to the couple, which aren't always the most reliable. Moreover, the video is titled "Taylor Swift Finally Speaks On Her Relationship With Travis Kelce" and was posted by a gossip channel: Gossip Tea. 

Overall, from my fact-checking, this claim seems to be false. The YouTube channel was also purposefully trying to deceive the viewer in order to get views.

Today.com mentions how the two relentlessly kissed when the New Years ball dropped at midnight which hints at the idea that the two are in love which each other. CNN.com a very reliable source mentions how Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift "appear to be very much in love". They use interviews with Kelce and Swift to get this information. What CNN does well is incorporate how the NPR which is a another reliable source gathered their information on the Kelce and Swift relationship.

After watching this video as well as looking at two legitimate sources I have found that this information is false. Back in the summer of 2023 rumors, photographs, and articles began to circulate surrounding a supposed relationship between Kansas City Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce and star artist Taylor Swift. 

In November of 2023, Taylor Swift was nominated for Time Magazine's Person of The Year Award. In the article, Swift for the first time to the media opened up about her relationship with Travis Kelce stating, "By the time I went to that first game, we were a couple. I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game? We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date.” This quote shocked the internet because it was the first time the pop artist had informed the media and the public that they were dating. However, Travis Kelce in an earlier interview in November of 2023, had conducted an interview with the Wall Street Journal. On the front page of the article the headline stated "I've [Travis Kelce] never dated anyone with that kind of aura about them". These two articles created the foundation for the public's intel on Kelce and Swift's relationship. However, not once did the articles state that they were "in love". 

When watching the Youtube video produced by the content creator 'Gossip Tea' and looking at the two articles as evidence we can see how this claim that they are "in love" is false. When watching the video the video did not state that they were "in love" it only talked about their relationship status and how others perceive their relationship. When looking at the creators' content on their channel it is noticeable that a lot of their content is filled with clickbait headlines that do not match with what they are sharing in the video. Although they may be "in love" it can't be specified because no trustworthy platform has disclosed this information. Overall, this content would be seen as False Connection content because the headline does not match with what the video is stating.

While there are many sources to support the claim that Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift are dating, there are not any sources that claim that she is in 'love' with the football player. In most interviews with each star, they claim to be proud of each other and support each other's career choices. This may seem like a declaration of love without the explicit use of the word but this is a claim that she said they are "in love." Which has not yet been confirmed or denied.

The claim that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are dating has been confirmed by Taylor during her interview for Times 2023 person of the year. In the interview she confirms "This all started when Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell,” she says. “We started hanging out right after that. So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for, because we got to get to know each other. By the time I went to that first game, we were a couple." This statement coupled with numerous sitings of the happy couple, cement this. However the claim that Taylor said "im inlove with him" is very poorly fact checked. Upon my research there has been no instances where taylor has publicly made these claims. While many can assume and speculate what is shared between Travis and Taylor in private. Observors may observe that their behaviour must be that of people"inlove" claiming that Taylor herself has said publicly still remains an assumption. Assumptions are not the truth because they lack evidence. The Youtube video aswell did not name any crediable sources for their claims instead named anonymous sources, futher proving that there is no vaild grounds for these claims. 

From fact checking this claim, it seems to have many holes, ultimately proving it to be false.

While it is true that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are in a romantic relationship. This is confirmed by videos of them kissing, and clips from Kelce's podcast, New Heights affirming this notion. Swift has also been seen attending many of Kelce's games sitting with Kelce's mother, Donna. She has seemingly also made friends with the wife of one of Kelce's teammates in Brittany Mahomes, wife of Patrick. Brittany has posted pictures of them two together, and they have been seen at games together.

Swift, however, has never publicly come out and said she is, "in love" with Kelce. While all signs point to them being in a romantic relationship that is to be taken seriously, it is not true that Swift has ever publicly declared her love for Kelce. The YouTube video that this "quote" comes from also never shows her saying this. It is also worth noting the channel that posted this video, Gossip Tea, has posted numerous videos about Swift and Kelce, all with misleading titles that do not deliver on the promises the title and thumbnail make.
