This post is false information. Neither Taylor Swift nor Travis Kelce are on record as making that claim.   This post on X was made by an account that posts and is exclusively pro-Trump and pro-GOP. This user posts content that is designed to get the audience upset. There is also a fact check under this tweet, which shows this claim is false.

This is not true. Taylor nor Travis have not openly stated whether or not they would leave the United States if the former president were to win the 2024 election. The tweet also fact checks the statement and links to an article that does show celebrities that would leave. Weeks before leading up to the Superbowl on Sunday, there had been Trump backers on social media who were against Swift and Kelce. Swift in the past had urged her fans to vote in September 2023 and Kelce was part of advertisements promoting the Pfizer vaccine. So while they are politically opposed to Trump, it seems that the discourse is one sided coming from Trump supporters.

I like that you added the list of celebrities who have said that they would leave if Trump won his second election. I think this adds great context to the story. This also shows that you went far in your research.

The list of celebrities who HAVE said this was a great addition to your factcheck! Good work including information regarding how they feel about the possible presidency, although maybe more sources for those facts would be helpful.

Your research was really well done. And I thought it was really smart to bring up the fact that in the past she has endorsed the candidate that was against Donald Trump.

I thought it was very interesting and smart to add a source of celebrities who have said statements like that if Trump wins. This is a good fact check.

I think by adding the information that other celebrities have stated what the claim says that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce stated. By adding this information, it shows that there are similar beliefs and similar quotes, just not by these specific people. I also like how you added that Travis has been open about his beliefs on the COVID vaccine which shows that he is indeed left swinging when it comes to political views.

This is a great fact check. I found it very helpful and insightful. You present the information discovered in a clear way. Reading your answer, in which you describe the original claim to be false, is then backed up by the research you have provided.

This is not true. Neither Kelce or Swift are on record as saying this. While a large number of celebrities have made claims similar to this but these two are not on the list. This post on X was made by an account that posts exclusively pro Trump and pro GOP content that is designed to get the audience upset at left leaning voters. The account states that they aren't affiliated with Trump and that they follow back all patriots. This account is clearly posting fake or false content. I found an article on snopes that discusses this and says it has been proven false.

Great find on information surrounding this topic. Going back to the original source of the claim, and that source being X, really discredits it. I am glad you went through to find more information about the account that originated the claim. I am not surprised it is a pro trump account.  The extra source that also backs up the fact that the account spreading this disinformation is known to do so.

This comment dismisses the claim about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce planning to leave the US if the former president wins in 2024. It clarifies that neither celebrity has made such statements, emphasizes their absence from any such list of celebrities, and questions the credibility of the source making the claim. It also cites Snopes as a reliable fact-checking source that debunks the falsehood.

This was a great fact check! I love using snopes when it comes to looking for answers of fact checks. They are a very reliable source. You did a good job at offering enough context in your fact check while showing that it is obvious false and should not be taken seriously.

I liked how you added information about X as a source themselves. By providing this information, it shows that it can not be trusted, and often releases false information. This is a great reason why this claim could potentially be found false. I think if you added more information on the claim itself, and provided more sources to back up your thoughts, it would be a really great claim.

The assertion that Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift want to depart the US if the former president wins in 2024 is refuted by this statement. It makes clear that none of the celebrities in issue have made any such remarks, highlights the fact that they are not included in any such list, and casts doubt on the veracity of the source putting out the claim. It also references Snopes as a trustworthy resource for fact-checking that disproves the myth.

This claim is false. Travis Kelce nor Taylor Swift have openly spoke out about the 2024 election. In 2020, Swift publicly endorsed President Biden saying, "The change we need most is to elect a president who recognizes that people of color deserve to feel safe and represented, that women deserve the right to choose what happens to their bodies, and that the LGBTQIA+ community deserves to be acknowledged and included." She also said, "Donald Trump’s ineffective leadership gravely worsened the crisis that we are in and he is now taking advantage of it to subvert and destroy our right to vote and vote safely." However, she has not spoken anything about leaving the United States if Donald Trump wins the 2024 election. Travis Kelce has not spoken on this either.

You effectively debunk the false claim about Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift considering leaving the US if Donald Trump wins the 2024 election. I liked how you clarify that neither celebrity has spoken about this issue, providing additional context such as Swift's endorsement of President Biden in 2020 but emphasizing the absence of any statements regarding leaving the country.

This statement is not true. There has been no record or evidence that proves Travis Kelce or Taylor Swift said they will leave the United States if Donald Trump wins the upcoming presidential election in 2024. This original post was spread through 'X' which contained now raw and valuable information that could prove this to be true. There have been loads of political claims and associations that the public has put Taylor Swift in recently. According to a New York Times article, every since Swift encouraged her fans to register to vote. When she did that Vote.org reported "a surge of 35,000 registrations." It can be assumed that along with the other false associations and allegations of swift in her recent rise in popularity and impact, this comment is false. There is no evidence to prove this true.

It is inaccurate to claim that Taylor Swift or Travis Kelce have publicly stated whether they would leave the United States if the former president were to win the 2024 election. The tweet also provides a fact check on this statement and includes a link to an article that features celebrities who have expressed such intentions. In the weeks leading up to the Superbowl on Sunday, there were Trump supporters on social media who opposed Swift and Kelce. Swift had previously encouraged her fans to vote in September 2023, and Kelce had been involved in advertisements promoting the Pfizer vaccine. While they hold political views opposing Trump, it appears that the discussion is predominantly one-sided, originating from Trump supporters.

This is false. After completing a thorough research, neither Taylor Swift nor Travis Kelce mentioned anything about leaving the States if Trump were to win the 2024 presidential election. Even the X post used has a community note saying this is incorrect. My sources prove that this claim is false.

This is false. Neither Taylor Swift nor Travis Kelce have gone on record saying that they would leave the United States if Donald Trump is elected. This is a rumor that has gained traction amongst biased media, such as the Twitter accounts @DonaldTNews (referenced above) and @DavidWolfe. Additionally, this claim has been debunked by several reliable news sources such as Yahoo News and Newsweek. Though Swift publicly denounced the former president in 2020, stating that he had been “stoking the fires of white supremacy and racism (his) entire presidency,” she has not publicly expressed any plans to leave the country if he is reelected nor has Kelce. Therefore, there is no documented evidence of the above claim.

There is no substantial evidence, quotes from interviews with Taylor Swift or Travis Kelce themselves making this claim. This X post has also been fact checked by readers stating that there is no records of the two making this claim.

In this Washington Times article, many celebrities make the claim that they will leave if Trump is elected, but Swift and Kelce are not amongst them.

The claim that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce would leave the United States if Donald Trump won the 2024 election is false. Neither of these celebrities have openly shared this statement. According to Seattle Times, in 2020, Taylor Swift urged fans to register to vote and spoke out against Donald Trump. However, since then she has yet to comment about the upcoming presidential election. The 'X' post now has a disclaimer that there is no evidence of the statement being true and linked an article of celebrities who have actually stated they would leave the country if Donald Trump won the election.

The claim that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce will leave the United States if Donald Trump wins the upcoming election is false. There are no credible sources that back up this claim. The original claim was from a post on X by the user, @DonaldTNews. The source doesn't provide any background information or proof of Swift and Kelce saying this. This claim is also fact checked through Snopes, which implies that this is just one of many conspiracies revolving around the couple. This claim is false.
