This claim is false.
I used Google to find the source of this image and confirmed it came from the original Twitter account that posted it, Thirsty Duck. Their username is also trademarked on the image. Thirsty Duck includes they are a meme page dedicated to creating satirical and parody content about the Oregon football team in their bio. It's clear this post is not from an official source like Fortnite or University of Oregon. This is for satirical purposes.
This photo is likely AI generated. I found an image on Instagram of a Fortnite skin for Fordham University, and the quality and design looks similar to the Oregon Fortnite skin. Taking into account the popularity of AI, I believe this is how Thirsty Duck created the post.
According to a Fortnite wiki page, a "skin" is an appearance players can choose to have when they play including their outfit, gender, and overall appearance. Fortnite has collaborated with many companies and celebrities over the years to release custom skins, such as The Weeknd, Travis Scott and Ariana Grande. Due to their pattern of partnerships, it's understandable to see why some may believe Fortnite would collaborate with another organization, such as the Oregon Ducks.
Another reason why viewers might believe this claim is true because in 2022, Fortnite partnered with NFL to create a virtual presence in their creative mode called NFL zone. According to the Washington Post, "The new partnership will include mini games, modified versions of “Fortnite” game modes using football terminology (“seek and sack” instead of “search and destroy”) and collaborations with top gaming and streaming influencers." This might be why some people believe the Twitter post to be true, however this collaboration didn't include college football teams and it was years ago.
While the Twitter image does state a false claim, it becomes clear after investigating the account that they post content without intent to harm. It can still, however, cause confusion. This is an example of satirical information disorder.
