This TikTok creator is spreading misinformation about a supplement and claiming it is "nature's ozempic." If you don't already know, ozempic is a diabetic medication that now is famous for making you rapidly lose weight. Berberine, also known as Berberine alkaloid, Berberine HCl, or Daruharidra, is a supplement that may lower cholesterol, triglycerides, and blood sugar levels. The supplement does not just make you lose weight, it can only assist you in weight loss if you are also making other healthy lifestyle changes. I believe this TikTok creator is trying to sell you their supplements since after clicking on the profile it can be seen that they are trying to advertise their website for herbal supplements. I believe this content is mostly just misleading and not dangerous.

While berberine can support weight loss, it is not supplementary for other types of weight loss advice. While this TikTok creator may be informing without intent to harm, it is still dangerous considering people are less inclined to fact check. Additionally, people need to consult physicians before adopting this supplement to ensure it's right.
