Rumors of an affair between Prince William and Rose Hanbury, the Marchioness of Cholmondeley, have been widely reported in the media, but there has been no concrete evidence to support these claims. The royal family hasn't officially addressed these rumors directly, and reputable news sources have not confirmed the affair, instead mentioning the claim as a "rumor." Hanbury did, however, come forward briefly and denied the claims. One can criticize this and say that her denying doesn't make it false either, based on intent; however, other than her statement, the numerous claims about this have not had much to work with. Us Weekly and Entertainment Tonight both reported on the claims and both reported on Hanbury denying the rumors.

These rumors cannot be put forward as anything other than that. To claim that Prince William IS having an affair would be slanderous because even the articles that you linked describe the claims as rumors. Rose Hanbury, the alleged mistress, has also come forward and said that the claims are false. This does not prove anything, but currently, there is just as much evidence that he is not having an affair as that he is, which is to say, there is none.

Nice fact check! I think it was important you paid attention to the nature of these claims, and pointed out that they're just that--claims. The news articles never claimed it as truth, which is a helpful thing to know when fact checking.

This claim is false. It was originated after Middleton's months-long public disappearance prior to her announcement of her cancer diagnosis on Mar. 22. Lady Rose Hanbury, who is married with three children, told BusinessInsider that the "rumors are completely false.
