A CNN graphic, and the preceding text, suggests that the daily average number of trucks bringing food into Gaza now is less than half it was.

However the real amount is more than was entering before Oct 7, according to the article.

The article seems to be accurate. CAMERA is an organization that covers news solely in the Middle East. They provided information from the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees. But CAMERA does seem to have biases according to their social media pages. There are also little to no information that could back this up.

CAMERA also has a large number of Jewish authors (https://www.camera.org/media-analyses/camera-author/) so it would be something to think about when considering their bias/leaning. Good work noting the possible bias within their social media.

The CNN report inaccurately portrayed the daily average number of trucks delivering food into Gaza which suggests a significant decrease post-October 7, 2023, compared to previous figures. However, the situation is more complicated. Recent reporting from multiple sources indicates that there are days when the number of aid trucks entering Gaza exceeds earlier averages, as highlighted by the highest recorded entry of 322 aid trucks on one day as reported by Al Jazeera on April 8, 2024 (https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2024/4/8/more-than-300-aid-trucks-enter-gaza-as-palestinians-battle-starvation).

However, there have been periods of sharp declines, with the average number of trucks in February falling to just 60 per day, a reduction from 140 per day in January (https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2024/2/21/wfp-halts-food-deliveries-to-north-gaza-amid-complete-chaos-violence). It a very variable situation there so there’s always fluctuations.
