When researching the likelihood of this happening, I came across an article that CNN posted on November 1st, 2023, that stated the male reproductive system does get affected by technology. The article's writer, Sandee LaMotte, said, "Observational studies in humans have also found that frequent use of mobile phones was connected to a decline in sperm viability and an impact on how the sperm swam. But those studies have been small and short". The National Center for Biotechnology Information also referenced a study in cows and mice to test the waters on the female side of the issue. They found that "Because the extension of the estrous cycle can decrease total ovulation opportunities in females during their fertile period, decrease in fecundity can be expected." All in all, there was no direct correlation between miscarriages and laptop use connected explicitly to one another. Still, there was evidence to prove that the use of mobile technology does affect the reproductive system.
