This is most likely not misinformation. Daylen Austin was arrested on April 15 in connection to the fatal hit-and-run in Eugene. He is scheduled to appear in court on May 22 as the investigation continues.

Reading the USAToday story about Daylen Austin it seems as if this story is true. "A University of Oregon football player has been arrested in connection to a fatal hit-and-run crash that left a man dead, police said." Reading more on this story shows that multiple new sources confirmed this is not misinformation. The New York Post also had a story based around this news story which stated the same information as the news source before.

This is not misinformation. There are several sources that reported on this. The timing is off though. He was arrested the same night of the accident, April 15th.

It looks like this information is true. MSN published an article giving detail on the story, and identified the victim and the events that lead about to the hit and run, along with writing how there was proof with video cameras. They have quotes from officials on what Daylen said about the hit and run, and they gave information on what is happening right now, and what will happen in the future for Daylen.

This is not misinformation. It is, in fact, most likely true (pending police investigation): Daylen Austin, a UO football DB, was arrested in connection with a fatal hit-and-run of a 46-year-old man. This accident occurred at 4th and Polk St in Eugene, Oregon.

Austin was booked by officers and has since been released pending a pre-trial conference on May 22nd. Everyone must now wait to see how the trial plays out.
