This is most likely not misinformation. Daylen Austin was arrested on April 15 in connection to the fatal hit-and-run in Eugene. He is scheduled to appear in court on May 22 as the investigation continues.

The claim "Wednesday afternoon, 19-year-old Daylen Austin was involved in a fatal hit-and-run of a 46-year-old man" is true. According to an article on ABC News, "A college football player from the University of Oregon has been arrested in connection to a fatal hit-and-run crash that killed a 46-year-old man, police say." Daylen Austin was the football player in question, and ESPN also reported the same.

This claim is true. As sad as it is to see unfortunately Daylen Austin was arrested for connection with a hit and run that left a 64 year old man dead.
