I don't think this source is actually a real news source, from what I've seen online it's a satirical kind of website. However, I think there are some people posting on twitter actually claiming this as a fact, which is why it is so important to dig into the background of the websites. I tried to look up other sources to see if this may be true, or if they got new dogs at all, but I haven't found anything related to this claim.

Not sure if this is a valid source although I found one other link that writes about this topics, Im concerned that there isn't enough sources to prove this claim is true.
