I believe this articles claim that Harris has raised 1 Billion dollars is indeed true, i came to this conclusion by first looking at the authors of the article, both of them have political backgrounds, Fredreka Schouten has been a political writer on money in politics for over a decade, and Edward-Isaac Dovere is a senior editor who has written about politics for a long time, he used to be the senior contact to the whitehouse for a different new corporation. I also fact checked the claim made in CNN’s article against an article from the U.S. News and World Report, a media outlet that consistently scores high on accurate information and low on political bias via the Ad Fontes media bias rating system. The U.S. News and World Report articles backed up the claim that Harris has indeed raised 1 billion dollars in campaign funds in her campaign against former president Trump.

I really liked that you touched on the authors background to make sure they are a credible and unbiased writer. I do think you maybe should've touched more on the content of the article so that users could get more information, such as the statement that the Harris campaign has raised the $1 billion in record time. Lastly, I liked that you listed the Ad Fontes media rating system because it's important to know which publishers are naturally biased. Overall, a great fact check!

I like that you researched the authors of the article, since their experience and work can affect the legitimacy of writing and the presence of possible biases. It was also smart to use the media bias rating system, especially one that is a public benefit corporation, making its reporting more balanced. I think it would be best in proving this claim if you could find the original source of the data, such as financial records of the campaigns, rather than relying on multiple news sources, no matter how credible they may be.

I think you have a lot of great reasons to support this article. The author and sources are valid. However, I would be interested in what you might have to say about the bias aspect of it. Do you think this source would be more biased to favor the specific party, and if so, do you think that affects the rest of this article at all?
