The claim that blondes have more fun is a little exaggerated and misleading, as this study concluded that they are more happy and confident. That does not necessarily mean that they have more fun.

The claim, “Blondes really do have more fun” is misleading, but research proves how it is also somewhat true. An article published in the Medium, by journalist Catrina Prager, gives an explanation as to why people are more attracted to blondes, therefore giving them more attention. The article included a study where multiple women with the same outfits, but different hair colors spent time at bars and clubs throughout the week. The study proved that no matter if the women were true blondes, or wearing blonde wigs, they were highly more approached by people than any of the girls with other hair colors. While this study shows they are favored, it doesn’t necessarily mean the girls are having more fun individually, rather they are just favored by others. Another article published in ZME Science provides a study done by Mark Sergeant, a researcher at Nottingham Trent University, in which the subjects were interviewed before and after dying their hair blonde. The results were concluded based on their confidence and mood levels, and it was shown that the majority said being blonde positively impacted both. Yet having more confidence doesn’t always mean the women are having more fun. The article didn’t specify having “fun” at all in the article. In the end, the title is misleading and should be more specific, this claim is not true.

The claim that blondes have more fun is somewhat misleading. A study conducted by Nottingham Trent University found that women who dye their hair blonde felt more confident. This could be because they feel much more secure in their looks while being blonde. This could be happening because society often prefers blonde women, obviously there's personal preference, but according to many research polls, blondes are often the over all pick. When stereotyping presents the idea that blondes are more attractive, it could mean that once a woman dyes her hair blonde, she may feel happier and more confident, leading her to have more fun. This stereotyping might also lead to more positive interactions with others, because it can influence how people may interact with blonde women. However, it is important to remember that these conclusions are made based on societal attitudes rather than scientific data. So this study does not necessarily conclude that going blonde will definitely cause a person to have more fun.
