"Gone are the days of cheerily sending our children off to school and trusting public educators to prepare them for success by focusing on traditional pedagogy. Pesky fundamentals such as reading, writing, and arithmetic are being submerged under a tsunami of cultural Marxism. Parents—once viewed as the natural authority figures in their children’s lives—now find themselves largely spectators: locked out, lied to, and gaslit in a national effort to secretly gender-transition children in public schools behind their parents’ backs. But parents are fighting back."

Firstly, the source is the Heritage Foundation, which is a largely conservative think tank, and is thus biased. The article brings up a supreme court case fighting a school policy in Ludlow, Massachusetts in which parents sued because their children had been. According to the article, the policy is to "secretly promote and facilitate gender transitions without parental consent." Firstly this isn't what is explicitly written in the policy, the article is exaggerating in order to frustrate gullible people and get clicks. Schools in the U.S. (depending on state legislature) attempt to educate students on people from all facets of life (including queer people), which proves to be beneficial for potentially queer students. This is not "promotion," this is merely education. There is also no evidence that schools  "facilitate" any sort of gender transition among students. Some schools and teachers do uphold a student's potential identity, but most schools do nothing to encourage gender transition. This was disproven by CNN after former president Trump claimed something similar.

This is an excellent fact check, and thank you for taking the time to write it out so thoroughly and without letting your personal bias override your use of neutral language (I know I'd have a hard time talking about the Heritage Foundation in a neutral tone).

You reach a fact-based conclusion and cite proper outlets. Great work.

A key source on this topic is the American Psychological Association (APA), which published a report titled "Guidelines for Psychological Practice with Transgender and Gender Nonconforming People." This report emphasizes the importance of providing inclusive environments for students to ensure their mental health and well-being. It states that educational programs should aim to foster respect for all students, including those exploring their gender identity. Source: American Psychological Association.
