Within the post, he doesn’t explicitly say that he’s supporting Kamala Harris, but rather reminding the public that Puerto Rican culture is rich, full of achievement, and resilient. While Bad Bunny may be doing that, a representative of Bad Bunny told CNN that the reposting of the video was not a valid endorsement, but proof of support. They later say that his political focus has “always been on Puerto Rico.”
From what it looks like Bad Bunny is upset about the disturbing jokes made at Puerto Ricans and wanted to showcase how Peutro Ricans have more to offer than being labeled garage. Also, how it’s not acceptable to have these negative preconceived notions when one clearly doesn’t know anything about the culture itself. He stood up for his people and ignited social action to try to show others that Puerto Rico is a strong, diverse, and music-rich culture.
