The onions being targeted as the culprit of the outbreak, other fast food chains have started taking their onions out temporarily. The farm where the onions come from has recalled multiple batches of onions they sent out, does that lead to them being guilty?

Looking at the article provided, I found that the source that the Gazette pulled from is this article from The Associated Press, which is a reputable outlet. Digging further into this source reveals that officials speculate the batch of supposedly infected onions comes from a single supplier, Taylor Farms. It's also added that the burger patties themselves have been ruled out as a suspect. Other trusted sources, such as CNN and NBC, have made a similar claim that the onions are probably to blame, which all traces back to claims made by the CDC. As of October 30th, onions are still the 'likely source,' so while it's safe to assume this is correct, I'll hold off on marking this true since it hasn't been 100% confirmed.
