Young Thug can now return to Atlanta under strict circumstances: for the anti-gun and anti-gang presentations he is required to make to local youth four times annually, or for the weddings, funerals, graduations or medical emergencies of his immediate family members.

This title is just inaccurate.

Young Thug is free, but on probation, and he isn't not welcomed in Atlanta. The details of his plea write that he is only allowed in metro Atlanta for special occasions within his immediate family, and for his required four anti-gun/anti-gang violence community presentations per year.

Yes, Young Thug is no longer in prison. Though the claim that he is banned from Atlanta is partially true but a little misleading. According to AP news , the rapper isn't allowed in the Atlanta metro area according to the latest census, except for funerals, weddings, graduations or a family member having a serious illness. He has a 72 hour window for these events and must leave the city 48 hours after they finish to satisfy his plea agreement. Another term was that he has is that he has to return to the city in order to make anti-gang, violence, and gun campaigns at schools of all levels and at youth organizations. Overall, Young Thug is allowed into the city of Atlanta under specific guidelines and not of his free will.

good job finding a source with all of the probation conditions as well as pointing out that there is an element of truth to the statement

I appreciate how this answer clarified the claim and went out of the way to find more accurate sources to provide information. This source was more specific on the terms of Young Thug's presence in Atlanta.

Why did you use the New York Times as a source? They tend to be reliable and a good source for non biased information, but wouldn't they have a bias towards a rapper who has had a troubled past?
