Studies show that this is a fact. Nicotine changes brain chemicals and hormones, which can reduce appetite and increase feelings of fullness.

I believe this claim to be correct due to the overwhelming amount of studies that are listed in the article you linked, as well as this article I found while looking for more information.

https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC6368221/#:~:text=Nicotine%20suppresses%20appetite%20and%20increases,McGovern%20and%20Benowitz%2C%202011).

Through a couple of different trials run in the article above it is even also said that, "...daily combustible cigarette smokers were more likely to report also currently using e-cigarettes if they had a stronger tendency toward using combustible cigarettes to suppress their appetite and/or prevent overeating," which points to nicotine being a large factor in why the people in this study smoked e-cigarettes as well (for weight loss/appetite suppression).

This is a solid analysis, particularly because you cross-referenced multiple studies to back up the claim about nicotine’s role in appetite suppression. Your additional article strengthens the argument by showing that people may turn to e-cigarettes for weight management. The quote you included adds value and specificity, showing a nuanced understanding of how nicotine impacts behaviors around eating.

This claim appears to be correct as many websites share the same results, including...

https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC2367209/#:~:text=Nicotine%2C%20administered%20either%20by%20smoking,gain%20associated%20with%20smoking%20cessation.

However with nicotine being an appetite suppressant it is not recommended to be used as a weight loss supplement, as doing so can result in severe illness and potential early death.
