This article, states that Brianna was offered $12 million to sign an NDA so that she didn't talk about their relationship to the public but didn't take it. However, she says this happened with his past relationships and they took the deal.

I think you could have used a better source. betches.com is something I have never heard of, and I don't know how reliable they are. What I can say is that Brianna herself has talked about on social media and her podcast that this is true. Your info is correct, but your choice of source was poor.

The claim made in the headline of this article is that Breanna Chickenfry has claimed that she was offered $12 million by Zach Bryan to sign a NDA and not talk about their abusive relationship, but the article does not prove that this is factual information, although the author heavily implies this. However, this doesn’t seem like a particularly trustworthy piece for a number of reasons. First of all, the site that it’s posted on, betches.com, is more of an entertainment blog than a legitimate new source. The author, Ilana Frost, does solely entertainment and gossip writing. She also discloses in the first sentence of the article that she already has bias against Zach Bryan, saying “I’ve never been a fan and will have no problem continuing not to stream his music.” This sets the tone for the rest of the article, where she speaks distastefully about the country singer. The article’s quotes are all from Breanna Chickenfry herself on the BFF podcast, again addressing Breanna’s claims but not looking at the situation as an investigative article on the abusive relationship. The article has several links to other articles, but many of them are actually links to other articles on the same blog written by the same person. The only non-Betches article that is linked is a vulture.com article. This is another gossip/entertainment outlet, and the article basically cites all the same information from Breanna’s podcast episode. This same information can be found on many other websites(mostly gossip sights) such as usweekly.com or newsweek.com. Since this is a very recent article(from Nov. 8), I assume that if there was more up-to-date information the author would have included it. I think that what we can conclude at this time is that the only verifiable information is that Breanna Chickenfry has claimed to be offered $12 million from Zach Bryan after being in an abusive relationship with him. Until there is more investigative reporting or legal action is taken, we will have to leave it at that.

I appreciate the thoroughness of your fact-check on the Brianna Chickenfry and Zach Bryan situation. You did a great job highlighting the potential biases of the sources and the limitations of the information available. However, I noticed a few areas where your analysis could be expanded or clarified. You mentioned that betches.com is more of an entertainment blog than a legitimate news source, which is a valid point. However, it would strengthen your argument to provide examples of more reputable sources that have covered similar stories and how their reporting standards differ. This comparison could help readers understand why the credibility of the source matters. While it’s important to critique the sources and biases, acknowledging any strengths in the original article can make your comment more balanced. For example, if the article provided a detailed timeline of events or included direct quotes from the podcast, these elements could be highlighted as useful contributions to the discussion.

Would you rate the claim as true? False? Other? I couldn't quite figure it out based on your fact-check and you didn't select a rating!
