do you want to know how i--a lefty for 20 years--voted for trump? simple: it is because sars-cov-2 leaked from a lab, killed 30 million people, and disabled me. democrats are blocking investigation into its origins & protecting fauci (who got caught covering it up). reddest pill of all time.

It is somewhat hard to fact check this, as you have given zero sources. There is also no proof that it was lab leaked, and the origin of sars-cov-2 is still under scrutiny. The crutch of your 'argument' lies on unverified information.

It is your job to provide sources to either prove or disprove the claim Zenyogi found. This fact check needs sources desperately to help its credibility. If I was fact-checking this I would probably start somewhere like:

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-china-57268111

Then I would ensure the source is reliable and find supporting and contrasting sources. Then I would draw my conclusion based on what I found.

It is true that this claim is unverified information, coming from a social media post with no sources, so it would be good to add more context in your factcheck.

This article from the American Society of Microbiology discussing the validity of the lab leak theory says it has no actual evidence and uses testimony and scientific evidence to explain why the zoonosis hypothesis, or the theory that it was transmitted naturally, is far more likely.
