This seems true, as several articles have been written about this. A quote from Biden himself says: "I believe in the justice system, but as I have wrestled with this, I also believe raw politics has infected this process and it led to a miscarriage of justice — and once I made this decision this weekend, there was no sense in delaying it further." This quote (from NBC News) alludes to his pardoning of his son. The NY Times and CNN (the source you used) also say the similar thing about Biden.

This is true. According to the executive grant of clemency, available on the White House website, the president has “ Granted Unto ROBERT HUNTER BIDEN A Full and Unconditional Pardon.” The pardon does apply to activity between January 1, 2014 and today, December 1, 2024.

I also am confused if you are referencing a policy that is found on the WH website or are referencing an official announcement, when looking at the second sentence. Having a clear explanation in your answer can help provide more credibility and trust into your reasoning behind your official take on the original claim.
