This is True. Hospitals and clinical websites can agree with this with the Harvard Health website even saying 11-15 cups of water a day is the recommended amount. Drinking this much water a day can prevent dehydration which can make you have mood changes, can cause you to pass out, constipation and can help prevent kidney stones from building up, which is one of the worst pains someone can feel.

This claim is misleading since it’s showing a widespread belief in health media that lacks a scientific basis to back it up. It’s very helpful as the article said to have eight glasses, but it’s not all that goes into hydration. I found that clinical research indicates most healthy people meet their fluid needs by letting thirst be their guide and consuming water from a variety of foods and beverages, not just plain water. It’s based on an individuals needs and other factors like food, activity, and lifestyle habits.
