Those whose gender identification falls into a category other than male or female are likely to experience gender dysphoria. Gender dysphoria is defined as feeling a difference between your gender identity and your sex assigned at birth, and while it may lead to feelings of distress, the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders handbook explicitly states that "gender non-conformity is not in itself a mental disorder". While it is possible that that those that do not conform to traditional gender labels can have mental disabilities, to say that there is a cause and effect relationship between the two is objectively false.

Great response! I like how you used multiple reliable and well-known sources like the DSM-5 to explain why this claim is false. The original claim comes from an image posted on social media, meaning anyone could've posted it, furthering its non-credibility. It was probably just posted to start an argument, but I think you did a good job proving them wrong.
