The claim that Elon Musk’s son, X Æ A-Xii, spoke about Jesus on a live television talk show is entirely false. The video being circulated on platforms such as Facebook and YouTube is an AI-generated fabrication. While it may appear convincing at first, the video contains a disclaimer in fine print indicating that it was created using artificial intelligence purely for entertainment purposes. This claim has been investigated by multiple reputable fact-checking organizations. Snopes, a well-established source for verifying viral misinformation, found no evidence that any such interview ever occurred and clearly states that the video is fictional (Snopes). Similarly, MEAWW confirmed that the video is not based on real events and was fabricated for entertainment value (MEAWW). Additionally, one of the original uploads of the video on YouTube includes a disclaimer in the description explicitly stating that the content is fictional and AI-generated (YouTube Video). No credible news outlet has reported any instance of Musk’s young son discussing religion in a televised setting. This situation is a clear example of how quickly misinformation can spread online when manipulated content is presented without proper context. Given the lack of credible evidence and the confirmed fictional origin of the video, the claim is demonstrably false.

I appreciate that you both pointed out the lack of reputable sources from the original post, and provided your own sources to back up your assertion that this claim is outright false, rather than misleading or exaggerated. It can be difficult to disprove something due to it not being reported on by reputable sources, so I think you did a good job by referencing Snopes and MEAWW here.

Your answer is quite good. Not only did you provide a trustworthy source which proved the original claim to be false, but you also showed why the original source was not reputable and was in fact wrong.

I think you have a very thoughtful response! You provided great sources and I like how you pointed out how the sources in the original post weren't reputable and you showed ones that were.

Your fact check is well though out and is a great example of why media litaracy is so important. As AI generated content is becoming more beliebable and convincing. it is easy for misinformation to spread. I appreciate the trustworthy source linked and your emphasis on the original post was created with AI.

Thanks for clearing that up—this kind of misinformation is becoming way too common. It’s wild how realistic AI-generated videos can look now, especially when people strip out disclaimers or repost them without context. Appreciate you citing Snopes and MEAWW too; that helps separate fact from fiction.

Your answer is written very well and your source is trustworthy. As Ai becomes more popular it is very important that people are able to tell what is and is not generated by AI.

The claim that Elon Musk’s son spoke about Jesus on a live televised talk show is not supported by credible evidence. (Houston Chronicle)

Recent media coverage does mention an incident where Lil X accompanied Elon Musk to a White House press conference. During this event, the young child drew attention by making faces and interacting playfully, such as sticking his fingers in his father's ears. Some social media users speculated that he told former President Trump to "shush your mouth," but audio recordings were unclear, and fact-checkers like Snopes have deemed such claims inaccurate. (Houston Chronicle)

There are no verified reports or footage indicating that Lil X discussed Jesus or made any religious statements during this or any other public appearance. It's worth noting that Elon Musk himself has publicly expressed appreciation for the teachings of Jesus. In a 2022 interview with The Babylon Bee, Musk stated, "There’s some great wisdom in the teachings of Jesus, and I agree with those teachings," highlighting principles like forgiveness and loving one's neighbor . However, these comments were made by Musk, not his son. (American Faith)

Adding quotes directly from Musk helped me gain a better understanding of what the situation was with a little kid speaking "professionally." Good on you for hyperlinking the text as it allowed me to follow up on your analysis.

I appreciate that you added the background to where the quote cam efrom, this was a really good example of setting up the stage to why the quote got misinterpreted or just made up to be said by X.

I liked that you added the fact that there is no actual video. I noticed this too. I personally believe just a recording is not enough evidence, a lot of people will fall for that now days though because they don't know how easily someone's voice can be replicated with AI.

You did a good job pointing out the difference between Musk’s comments and his son’s actions. People really blur those lines online. I’m wondering why you used American Faith for the Jesus quote though, do they have any bias, or did you find that quote somewhere else  too? Also, it's weird how a kid making faces becomes a rumor about preaching on live TV. Shows how fast things spiral without real evidence.

This question was regarding a Instagram reel that circulated the internet where it appears one of Elon Musk's children,  X Æ A-Xii, was talking about Jesus on a talk show set of sorts. Many people have already cleared that the original poster was a Youtube account with multiple AI posts and in the subprint below the video, it says it was generated. This can also strongly be proven false by the fact that  X Æ A-Xii is only 4 years of age at this point in time and likely would not have the ability to discuss such topics on a talk show.

I appreciate your response to this claim. It is straight to the point and makes a very good argument about X AE A-Xii's age and emotional intelligence, as well as pointing out the obvious disclaimer that the claimed source was AI generated.

Your comment on this claim was spot on. The fact that X AE-Xiis is only 4 and would is not able to communicate that he had a connection with Jesus is a really straightforward and concise point to make.

This claim appears to be false due to Generative AI coupled with some factchecking outlets. A video gained popularity when it was posted onto Facebook's page with 400K+ views. After a few seconds, viewers can start to see the fallacies of this conversation. One of the reputable factchecking sites, Snopes, declared that this video was false, considering the descriptions of the videos stating "DISCLAIMER The stories presented on this channel are entirely fictional and crafted solely for entertainment. Any resemblance to real events, individuals, or situations is purely coincidental and unintentional. These narratives are not intended to depict, reference, or represent any actual occurrences, persons, or entities." Although other articles have been written, most note back to Snopes, not only proving the company's credibility but stregnthening the argument that this claim is false.

This was a really good fact check without using any opinion, but I liked how you used a quote from the article and then explained how most other articles say similar things.

After researching can confirm that the statement, "Elon Musk’s son X spoke about Jesus on a live televised talk show.", is false. Many social media websites, mainly Facebook and YouTube, have promoted this video to be true so to come to this conclusion it was tricky. What provided strong evidence to me was one reporter on meoww news brought up the fact that YouTube has a disclaimer that content from the video was all fictional, in other words made up. Due to these facts, we can clearly see that the video has falshood to is proving that X did not speak about Jesus on live television.

Meoww news is a trusted source because they have a history of reporting true statement's and scam detector reported it highly safe. Fact Check: Did Elon Musk’s 4-year-old son X speak about Jesus on a live televised talk show? - MEAWW News

I like that your factcheck gets straight to the point about Elon Musk's son. The one thing that I would comment on is that you only have one source to backup your accusation. I would add others. I do like in your one source though that you add how Meoww news is a trusted source because of there history in reporting.

This is a good fact-check. I like that you brought up how You-Tube flags if videos are fake. I didn't know that before. Although I would have liked if you added some links to the YouTube sources you mentioned that are flagged. And also some evidence supporting your claim that YouTube videos are flagged when they aren't real.

This claim about Elon Musk's son X spoke about Jesus on a live televised talk show is false. First of all, the provided link https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=703414349025336 is not from a reputable source at all. It's posted by a fan account of Space X and Elon. Another key tell was that the video is just an AI-generated image with sound playing over it. There is no actually real video of his son X saying these things. After doing more research online, I found that Snopes.com posted a detailed article about the situation: https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/musk-son-x-jesus-live-tv/. They confirmed that this video and the audio is AI-generated. With Snopes being a very credible source for information that really solidified that this claim is fake. Overall, it's very scary that people actually fall for these fabricated pieces of news. We are in a new era with AI.
