The NFL won't be pulling a fast one on Bad Bunny.  From the many sources I've collected I have to confirm that this is TRUE.  Quotes from reliable sources like The Guardian and NBC sports all confirm that, "The NFL will not drop Bad Bunny as its Super Bowl half-time headline performer, commissioner Roger Goodell said on Wednesday."  (The Guardian). Several NFL oriented YouTube channels have also taken to the platform to showcase there collected information, also stating the same facts that Bad Bunny will be performing at this years NFL Super Bowl half time show.  

To be completely honest though, I'm not terribly surprised seeing as how much backlash was received when the Trump Administration announced that they would have ICE troops stationed at the game.  I was among the many people who found this to be an silly and somewhat racist move on behalf of Trump, all because Bad Bunny is a Mexican rapper.  Because of this backlash, I must say I'm glad to see the NFL is holding they're ground and keeping Bad Bunny as the lead performer.  This information is TRUE.

The NFL commissioner, Roger Goodell, claims that the criticism is "inevitable" and says that choosing an artist that appeases the millions who watch the Superbowl is bound to receive backlash (Press, Commissioner Roger Goodell: Bad Bunny's Super Bowl halftime show not being reconsidered 2025). He goes onto say that the NFL purposefully chose Bad Bunny for his worldwide popularity. 

This backlash stems from Bad Bunny showing opposition to the ongoing Ice Raids in America (Taysom, Bad bunny refused to tour the US due to threat of ice raids 2025) and some Americans believing that Bad Bunny's opposition and his potential set being primarily in Spanish is not aligned with American values (Lopez, The right's reaction to Bad Bunny performing in Spanish at the Super Bowl is ugly -- but not new 2025).

According to NBC Sports, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell confirmed that the decision for Bad Bunny to be the lead performer at the Super Bowl LX halftime show will NOT be reconsidered. The Guardian also reported Goodell defending the selection, stating that Bad Bunny is “one of the leading and most popular entertainers in the world” and the NFL intends to keep him as the halftime performer. I found no credible evidence that the NFL is planning to remove Bad Bunny or that political pressure from previous controversies would change this decision. Multiple sports news outlets and official statements confirm that Bad Bunny will perform as planned. While YouTube videos by NFL channels echo this information, the primary confirmation comes from these established news organizations. Based on these sources, the claim is true, Bad Bunny will remain the Super Bowl halftime performer.
